About Us
Just minutes off of I-95, Wilmington Animal Hospital is a comprehensive veterinary care center offering the very best that traditional and holistic medicine have to offer to pet owners in and around Wilmington, Delaware.
Founded in 1940 by Dr. George Rosenberger in a small building on a cobblestone street, Wilmington Animal Hospital has evolved into a modern, state-of-the-art facility. Even as we have remained on the cutting edge of veterinary care, we have never lost sight of what makes our practice truly unique. We are fortunate to have a staff that is as compassionate and caring as they are talented and professional.
At Wilmington Animal Hospital, we really truly care about our clients and their pets and will go out of our way to provide the best medical care and client service possible. Our doctors spend many hours researching complicated cases and are committed to spending as much time as it takes to ensure each pet is properly cared for, while the concerns and questions of the client are satisfied. The technicians go out of their way to engage with our clients and make sure our patients receive loving care. The receptionists are a welcoming and friendly resource for our clients and are never too busy to answer a question or field a call from a worried pet owner.
We recognize that providing high quality veterinary care includes keeping you, our clients, at the center of what we do. We are also exceptionally proud of the comprehensive level of care we provide. Our model of care is based on integrating the best that modern veterinary medicine has to offer with a holistic approach to animal wellness.
Veterinary medicine has become very good at diagnosing and treating disease, but our professional experience has shown us that these tools are enhanced when complemented by holistic approaches. These include homeopathy, acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal remedies, nutritional care, vaccine titers, and more.
In all, we seek to not just examine and treat the body, but take into account your pet's diet, environment, behavior, emotional state, and unique sensitivities. By treating the whole pet, we are taking into account all of the variables that influence physical health and well-being.
This is a much more thorough approach to wellness than most veterinarians typically offer. It also requires spending a bit more time with you and your pet, which is why we offer extended wellness appointments and endeavor to be as available to our clients as possible.
The payoff is markedly healthier and happier animals.
It is our goal not just to ensure the health and well-being of your pet into the future, but to be your partner in strengthening the bond you share with your pet. Please take a look around our website. Many of the services that we provide are listed here along with bios of our doctors and staff. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please give us a call.
