Wilmington Animal Hospital is again offering Senior Pet Wellness Month in March.  This is a wonderful opportunity to affordably screen dogs and cats over 9 years of age for many of the common yet hidden geriatric problems.

Along with a comprehensive physical exam, your pet will receive a fecal parasite analysis, a laboratory work-up which includes a complete blood count, serum chemistry profile, thyroid test and urinalysis.  In addition, dogs will be tested for heartworm disease, and cats will be screened for diabetes risk using a serum fructosamine test.  Participating pets will also be treated to a nail trim.  The cost of this package is $225* - a savings of over $99.

As in past years, pets who receive the Senior Pet Wellness exam are also entitled to save 10% off the cost of laboratory tests, X-rays, dental work, medications, and supplements if these are recommended as a result of the exam.
