Alison Ladman, VMD

Dr. Alison Ladman has been a veterinarian at Wilmington Animal Hospital since graduation from veterinary school in 2005. She obtained a BS in Biology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Lehigh, she attended the University of Delaware where she earned an MS in Animal Science. Upon completion of her degree at UD, Dr. Ladman attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to practicing conventional medicine at WAH, Dr. Ladman has a passion for shelter medicine and has worked for Faithful Friends, Kent County SPCA, and currently assists at the Delaware Humane Association. Her professional interests include high-quality dentistry and compassionate end-of-life care.
Dr. Ladman lives with her husband, Brian, a University of Delaware Scientist and their daughter Catherine. Her family has three dogs – Frank and Gwen Ellis (rescued from high-kill shelters in the southern United States) and Arrow (rescued from the White Mountain Arizona Apache reservation). She enjoys camping with her family in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and spending time at her family’s cabin in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania.
